Privacy at QuietLinks

This page says what we hold about you, in the order you meet it: visiting, signing up, ordering, paying, and leaving.

When you only visit

Browsing needs no account. Our servers log standard request data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and time. We use it to keep the site running, to measure load and to spot abuse by bots in 2026 and beyond.

We do not sell this data. We keep server logs for a limited period, then delete or anonymise them.

When you create an account

We store the email address and name you register with, plus a password hash if you set one. That is enough to let you log in and to send you receipts and service messages.

Cookies keep you signed in. Any cookie beyond that, such as analytics, is described in the next section.

You can ask us to close the account at any time.

Analytics and cookies

We may measure page views and clicks with a privacy-conscious analytics tool to learn which guides are useful. We do not build advertising profiles.

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. The store works for browsing without them, though login does not.

When you order

An order holds the target URL, keyword, any instructions or article you supply, the donor chosen, price and status. We use it to deliver the placement and to show it in your ordered links.

Published placements are public on the donor site. We cannot remove them from the web on request once they are live, only discuss options with the publisher.

Invoices and proforma invoices hold the billing details you enter.

Payments

You top up a balance in the dashboard and spend it on orders. Card or payment details are handled by the payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers.

We keep transaction records for as long as accounting law requires.

Who else sees it

Hosting, email and payment providers process data on our behalf. Publishers see the content of your order, not your account details.

We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.

Your choices

You may ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Write to [email protected] from the address on your account.

We reply within a reasonable time, and within the limits set by the law where you live. If we change this page, the date at the top changes too.
